• Recommend hairstyles, colouring, and treatment to customers

• Perform a wide range of hair colouring techniques, including highlights, etc.

• Analyze customer’s hair and scalp condition and recommend appropriate treatment or product

• Perform hair services, including wash, blow-drying, waxing, styling, etc.

• Ensure cleanliness of workstation and salon

• Build up a customer base, by converting prospects into long-term customers

• Maintain a good relationship with clients

• Act as an expert on hair treatments, procedures, styling, and technology and stay up to date on trends in the hair industry

• Meeting individual sales targets and KPIs

• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor

A scalp consultant must be able to diagnose disorders and diseases of the hair and scalp. They examine a client’s hair and scalp and decide on an appropriate course of action. Using objective scientific techniques, the consultant studies a patient’s hair and scalp for disorders. These can include damaged or thinning hair and skin infections and diseases. The consultant will discuss hair care, medical history, diet, and lifestyle with the client. After diagnosis treatment will be prescribed. This may be in the form of treatments, products, massage, special shampoos, lotions, or, in some cases, electrical treatment therapies.
